Steel for shot production is melted in two arc-furnaces, 5 tons in capacity each. Steel shot is produced by means of the liquid metal discharge directly from the furnace through the receiver upon the water stream under the pressure of 0,5 -1,5 atmosphere. Due to the steadfast technological regimes from pouring to thermal treatment (quenching, low, middle, high temperature tempering) the high quality steel abrasive is is manufactured with the required hardness and fatigue resistance . Screening of shot and grit is carried out at the shakers according to the national standard : DSTU 3184-95 (GOST 11964-81), and also according to the international standard SAE J444. Steel grit is produced by means of crushing of large fractions of steel shot in the crushers.

Careful control and multistage service tests secure the high quality of steel abrasives.
