To feed its requirement in abrasives the Ministry of Ferrous Metallurgy of the USSR arranged the tender for supply and construction of modern and the most progressive plant. The authoritative leader in abrasives production industry - “Wheelabrator Allevard” company, France, was chosen by results of thorough selection of suppliers, because they offered the cutting-edge technology of production of steel shot and steel grit with total construction budget of 23, 250 million of US dollars. At the same time “Wheelabrator Allevard” made a restriction in the contract, that the USSR will not be selling the products outside the USSR till the end of 1995. Based on the contract №19-02/61481-134 between the USSR and company “Wheelabrator Allevard”, original equipment and technological “KNOW-HOW” documentation were supplied, assembling, startup, adjustment and raising of the factory to project capacities with the presence of the engineering personnel from France during the next three years after startup were made, and in the middle of 80s the factory was working at full capacity, providing all industries of the USSR with high-quality abrasive. Since the beginning of this century the factory was rented from public corporation “Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant”, and already in 2004 the joint Danish-Ukrainian enterprise was created with majoritarian Danish investments into new advanced technologies. The administration of the factory ensures successful operation of the enterprise, independently providing it with all necessary financial, raw material, production, technological and innovation resources, and also stable, dynamically developing sales with good efficiency and bank history in spite of the difficulties in the world economy during the recent years. The factory, in accordance with long-term investment program, finds and introduces cutting-edge and progressive technologies in metallurgical industry, increases capacity and implements IT systems for the overall quality control of the products and improving of the competitiveness. It is important to notice, that initial technological regimes of “Wheelabrator Allevard” (France) are fully kept, and new methods supplement and differentiate the regimes of production to completely comply with customer’s requirements.

The factory exports products to the following countries: Belgium, Belarus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Turkey, Australia, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, Sweden, UAE, Pakistan, Qatar, Oman, Egypt, Tunisia etc.
